I’m Michelle!
I collected my degrees in December 2021 from the University of Washington in Seattle with a double major in Global Health/Medical Anthropology and Human Evolutionary Biology. I hit the road and did my fair share of vagabonding, and after a world tour settled into my current role as a data analyst at travel startup Travelby!
Throughout my undergraduate years, I developed a keen interest in data analysis, which led me to pursue certifications and engage in various data-driven projects. Beyond the numbers, I find fulfillment in working on projects of global significance, leveraging data to make meaningful advancements in understanding the world. I currently have a resume and portfolio you can access.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I can make a mean drink, love to bake, and other than English, I speak Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, with a current focus on learning Cantonese. My love for languages extends beyond communication; it embodies a commitment to preserving cultural heritage—a theme that resonates deeply with my global health background.
In alphabetical order, I’ve been to: Bosnia, Cambodia, Canada, China, China (Hong Kong SAR), India, Italy, Japan, Laos, Mexico, Mongolia, Myanmar, South Korea, Thailand, Turkiye, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. While I cherish my adventures and volunteering abroad, I am glad I can now immerse myself in impactful projects within a professional setting. Let's connect and explore how we can make a difference together.
My favorite albums this past year are here and my most recent reads are A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson and Taming the Atom by Hans Christian von Baeyer.
